Why present?

  • It's a great opportunity to reflect on and celebrate your work! Great work deserves to be recognized, and it's all too easy to just let successes fly by in the course of the busy school year. Presenters often find they really enjoy retracing their steps and analyzing what worked and where they could grow next time.
  • This is the best audience you could ask for to 'talk shop'. Your peers totally get the challenges you face, and are dying to hear how you achieved success.
  • We have unique jobs in a unique market and need current information from the field. Your case study will apply to your peers so much more directly than more general presentations.
  • It's a resume builder. Whether you are in year 1 or year 30 of your career, presenting at a conference is always a good look to show your boss, Board, and colleagues that you are a vital and growth-oriented professional.
  • It's fun, and not scary! First-time presenters often share afterward how much they enjoyed the experience, and how unfounded their nerves were.
